To naturally reduce your levels of stress, eat foods that contain folic acid. Folic acid works as a mood stabilizer, and can leave you feeling calmer and more relaxed. Examples of foods rich in folic acid include avocado, lentils, and dark leafy greens. Consuming folic acid also reduces your risk for depression.

Many foods that are high in fat, such as cheese or avocado, are actually very healthy when consumed in moderation every day. If you are trying to make your diet better, go slow at first. Quick and dramatic changes rarely last. You also don’t want to provide yourself with too much of a shock by eating foods that you may not even like. Work on adding nutritious items over time, and as time passes, your habits will have become much healthier.

Carrots are universally recommended by nutritionists. Most of us eat carrots because we like the taste. They are also rich in carotenoids, vitamins and iodine. Studies show that carrots lower blood cholesterol and reduce the risk of lung cancer. Also, carrots provide a natural source of sugar, that is safe for diabetics.
